Tony Bennett recorded with Aretha Franklin and Lady Gaga

- Legendary singer Tony Bennett, who turns 85 today, has just finished recording her new album "Duets II," singing a duet with Aretha Franklin on "Lost In The Stars" and Lady Gaga's song "The Lady Is a Tramp, "according to Sony Music. The album recording began last February at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles (USA) and produced by Phil Ramone and the continuation of "Tony Bennett Duets: An American Classic", which won several Grammy in 2007 and which helped Bono, Sting, Barbra Streisand, James Taylor, Elvis Costello, Juanes, Elton John and Paul McCartney, among others.


For this new work has also recorded the recently deceased Amy Winehouse, Spanish Alejandro Sanz, plus Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble, Mariah Carey, Natalie Cole, Sheryl Crow, Josh Groban, Norah Jones, KD Lang, Willie Nelson and Queen Latifah, among others. The recording sessions were filmed by Oscar-winning director Dion Beebe, responsible for films like "Chicago" and "Memoirs of a Geisha" and released as a documentary.

Also planned presentation of the CD this fall at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. In anticipation, Sony Music has released a video in which participants on the album congratulate the singer for his 85 birthday.
