Eric Fuentes & El Mal - Eric Fuentes & The Bad: in the wake of The Unfinished Sympathy

Fine which is armed with the video of 'Growl' (YouTube), I anticipate the debut album by Eric Fuentes & The Evil of the same title. Having been banned for three music channels and a Catalan state says a lot about the maturity of this country. Does anyone think this film directed by Pol Fuentes, the brother of Eric, and bassist Evil, had any connotation proterrorista? However, noise is generated and the disc has much of the marketing campaign done.

"Good old Eric Fuentes related to pro propraganda armed group outside the law? Do not make me laugh. Perhaps those who raised the finger did not know that this issue turns as the other nine of the disc on the concept of The Evil Eric Fuentes away here than we had shown in the two disks of Paradise Bay and it looks like your new song is a logical continuation of what we had offered to The Unfinished Sympathy, in fact, Joan Colomo, important plank in the last stage of the Barcelona group, participated as a guest on the recording.

I miss this band and Eric Fuentes & Evil nostalgia we make this easier. The album begins with a super fast track, punk butt and sweeping leaves us a bit misplaced but it keeps us vigilant. These ten songs are a lot of singles, or rather, there's nothing left even the extras that come with the download from iTunes: 'I Put My Life Into Boxes' and a demo of 'Academia', both really tasty.

No filler tracks, Eric Fuentes & Evil album makes me a short, 35 minutes, five-odd less barring the tip, and invites us once again heard about it a few times. So themes derived from the medium piston as' Kickstar My Hopes' or very protein and catchy as' Little Wild Girl ', all very guitar, giving a twist to the house brand of the group we knew what we sang of' Rock For Food '.

Special mention are the cuts in Catalan, which are the best of all, both the accelerated 'Rush Hour Enemic territory', and that chorus that forces you to raise your fist, or 'The poor esmolet', more contained but one hundred Unfinished with such riff one hundred dry. 'The Evil Way' has a triumphal tone and tells a story that could well deserve a video.

Then comes "Rock And Roll Is A Full Time Job" (YouTube) and a beginning that reminds me of Green Day. I love this Sánchez Bernat piano that adorns the melody. It is the first single and you do not mention the irony of the title. 'Odd Girls' is another great song, and like others in this record a live anthem, like 'Death And Above', perhaps my favorite of the dozen.

Close to half time, 'Land End', a song written by a trio of simple rock guitar, bass and drums over a piano that gives a patina to Billy Joel. 'I Put My Life Into Boxes' (YouTube), in plan piano bar, shows the versatility of Eric Fuentes, who is able to rock out loud, playing acoustic guitar in hand and amaze with an exciting piece.

Above you can see a live version of BIFM. Academia is a model of a subject in Catalan could have gone perfectly in the CD, half time with a letter quite ironic. By the way, no vinyl edition? This beautiful cover and the songs deserve.
