When Pet Shop Boys announced the release of a new album, the group's many fans are wondering what a surprise prepared for them the famous duo. The Pet Shop Boys announced on their official website the release of a new album March 14, 2011. So far nothing unusual for one of the groups most prolific pop music since the 80s.
But this time, Pet Shop Boys tackling a project outstanding race. Pet Shop Boys for the first time offers "The Most Incredible Thing" which is nothing but music to accompany a contemporary ballet. So a new challenge that brilliantly Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe. Their new musical creations serve as sound tracks to a ballet performance which will begin shortly.
This ballet is a collaboration between the Pet Shop Boys and the English choreographer Javier de Frutos. Entitled "The Most Incredible Thing, Javier de Frutos has created a choreography on Christian Andersen tale in which the Pet Shop Boys have put their electronic pop music. The initiative for the ballet comes from the British duo.
That is more than three years since Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have expressed the idea of composing for dance. In 2007, Ivan Putrov dancer to dance in London with the Sadler's Wells. To mount an innovative new show, dancer Ivan Putrov contacted the Pet Shop Boys to work on this project.
The duo has worked with choreographer Javier de Frutos for over a year to finally move the music from the ballet "The Most Incredible Thing". The ballet tells the story of a competition in a mythical kingdom where the king announces that whoever invented the most amazing thing will win the hand of the princess in marriage and half the kingdom.
About this new experience for the Pet Shop Boys, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe said: "It's a very exciting project. In the past, we wrote the dance music but writing music for dance seems a logical evolution of our music, we have always been fascinated by the theatrical context that may have given to the music.
. Music, undeniably pop, is a new experience for Pet Shop Boys. Used to condense the energy into a song of 3 or 4 minutes, the ballet brings the group to compose the scene and action.
