Madrid, 11 feb (EFE) .- Pet Shop Boys have once again jumped out of the pot pop, this time to put music to the ballet "The most incredible thing, but I think their next album and this despite the fact that as they say, "we realized that it is difficult to make pop music when you get older." On 15 March, launched the double CD with the music the duo of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have been created for the new ballet directed by Argentine Javier de Frutos and inspired by a story by Hans Christian Andersen, translated as "The most amazing" in Spanish.

"The title intrigued me. It's a traditional story with a happy ending that pits good and bad, "said Chris Lowe Efe in an interview about the origin of this project, which began in 2008 with an offer for music and provide a new reading of the tales of famous Danish author. The story begins when the monarch of a kingdom that has lost the illusion announces a contest in which contestants battle for the hand of his own daughter in exchange for designing "the most amazing thing in the world." Against this world without illusion that the story part, Lowe stresses "luck" they have had to engage in "what they love, pop music," with 25-year career, 10 albums and dance-pop hits like " Always on my mind "or" West End Girls.

" In this update of Andersen's tale, the show becomes the choice of future husband of the princess in a television show in the style of "Britain's Got Talent", the famous contest on British television. "I've always been in favor of talent shows and accept the right of everyone to the popularity, but it is something that particularly interests us, "he says on such television events that have achieved rapid expansion.

After a happy ending, "that sounds like Pet Shop Boys" as Lowe acknowledges, the last line of the story reads: "And no one felt envious of it." "I think that's what is really incredible. For me it's the most beautiful lesson of history, "he says. The ballet "The most incredible thing," premieres this month in London and, if all goes well, then begin a European tour and return back to UK next year.

"The most incredible thing" is far less the first project out of pop music that have made the Pet Shop Boys. We have always things made out of pop music and often have two simultaneous projects, "says Lowe, who considers" good "this type of alternative work to develop" the complexity of his music, incorporating such knowledge of orchestration.

As recognized, last month and began writing songs for her next pop album, but says it is too early to know which line will continue and if his work on "The most incredible thing" will affect him. "Time will tell, we just got carried away," he says. Lowe and Tennant are pleased with the success of young artists like Lady Gaga, who collaborated before it reached its current levels of popularity, but they say have realized that "it is difficult to make pop music when you get older, because people like pop music made by young people, which is really embarrassing.

"Whether we like pop music, is not something that can take two men of around 50. Maybe we should make music very depressing for older people, "she says, laughing at the end of the interview. Javier Herrero.
