Asuncion, April 17 (EFE) .- The prolific Spanish singer Joaquin Sabina was reunited last night with his Paraguayan public, after fourteen years of absence in Asuncion, in the framework of his Latin American tour "The Penultimate Train", laden with success and poetry. Sabina, relaxed and excited by his return to Paraguay, gave an exclusive concert before some 7,000 spectators at the Yacht and Golf Club Paraguay, on the outskirts of the capital.
"Goodnight Assumption" cried the artist after playing "Lemon Tiramisu" second song of their repertoire, which generated a standing ovation from an audience mostly young. With his unique voice, with a hat and wearing a black jacket and shirt and gray trousers, the Andalusian singer gave his people, whom he had promised in his first visit to this country, in 1997, returning to give back the affection received on that occasion.
The artist was accompanied by his inseparable musicians, Antonio García de Diego and Pancho Varona and by Marita Barros, Jaime Asua, Pedro Barceló and Josemi Sagaste. Sabina made an extensive tour of his greatest hits, which were chanted by the participants and included songs like "Vinegar and Roses", "Virgin of bitterness", "This mouth is mine" and "Desire to ...", etc.
. Compositions like "Black Sox", "Birds of passage" and "bad for the sun to the surface kept the emotions in the outdoor enclosure in which was presented on a warm night in Asuncion. The singer arrived in the Paraguayan capital last night after a delayed flight from Buenos Aires, making it necessary to suspend the press conference that was scheduled to deliver on the eve in a hotel asunceno.
Also presented in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay as part of their tour called "The Penultimate Train", which, the artist had expressed in an earlier interview, it transpires his eventual departure from the stage. During his brief stay in Beijing received the distinction of "Illustrious Guest" of Asunción, issued by the municipality.
After her performance tonight, is planning to return to Argentina, where it will continue its series of concerts, which will conclude on 19 January. In addition, the agenda of Sabina includes recitals in New York on May 25 in Miami, 27, and Los Angeles, 29, according to his official website.
