We finally have the video of Children Of Bodom that we have been on tenterhooks since we showed a teaser of it. It is the of 'Was It Worth It? ", The advance of his impending seventh studio album, Relentless Reckless Forever, which Universal published on 8 May. The video was recorded on a sports field at Camp Woodward (Pennsylvania) under the command of director Dale Resteghini for Raging Nation Films, a producer who has worked with extreme metal bands like Mudvayne, Hatebreed, or Anthrax.
Honestly, the video did not give me more. Heavy metal mixed with skateboard does not seem more than a cosmetic exercise. Because I do not fit these Finns playing in a skate park while some professionals are dedicated to do stunts. Very effective yes, but quite empty, although the phenomenon has invited Chris Cole, twice gold medal and two-time X Games skateboarder of the year by the magazine Thasher, and two numbers 1 and Jamie Thomas and Tom Asta.
The issue is not what we expected from Children Of Bodom, "is totally a party song. You do not have the typical sound but Bodom is one of my favorites and is so heavy as hell, "says guitarist / vocalist Alexi Laiho. We hope that the rest of the album does not make us twist the gesture, because the cover is not among the best of his career.
