Billy Corgan announced yesterday on his official profile on Twitter Nicole Fiorentino, current bassist for Smashing Pumpkins, one of the two girls who appeared on the cover of Siamese Dream (Virgin, 1993). The performer, who is 31, posed for this picture when he was 13. Nicole Fiorentino, who was a member of Spinnerette and Veruca Salt, is the fourth bassist of the band Chicago since its inception and the second since his comeback.
He joined the Smashing Pumpkins last year and it was not until now when it has cleared the doubt about the mystery of the identity of the two innocent girls who posed for the artwork of this legendary and sensational album. What has not revealed Billy Corgan on the picture is which of the two is Nicole Fiorentino.
I tend towards the left. Fiorentino Corgan has admitted he did not reveal the band before she was one of the two girls because they "feared that he barred from Smashing Pumpkins."
