The Israeli artist Dana International, Eurovision Song Contest winner in 1998 with the song Diva, could return as a representative of his country to this year, to be held May 14 in Düsseldorf (Germany). The festival's official website confirmed this week that the singer is one of ten finalists who will attend the final selection of Israel to participate in the contest, which features the song Ding Dong, whose video is already posted on the YouTube platform .

The candidate will be announced on 8 March. Dana International, real name Sharon Cohen, became famous after becoming the first transsexual who won Eurovision, and its theme, Diva, became one of the fourteen most memorable songs of the history of the festival, also built in a hymn gay community.

Another curiosity for this year is that the Canarian singer Raquel del Rosario, voice of the group El Sueño de Morfeo, could also reach the final of Eurovision, but not on behalf of Spain. As you know, Italy returns to the end of the festival after more than a decade of voluntary absence.

Your representative will win the popular San Remo Festival, which takes place next week. The program of artists from this contest, Del Rosario joined on stage by Italian Luca Barbarossa to the subject in depth Fino, in competition with established artists like Al Bano, Patty Pravo (famous for the theme La bambola) and powerful emerging voices Giusy Ferreri.
