Dixebra in the Sala Albéniz (Gijón, 03/11/2011): Dancing the crisis

Dixebra is an institution within the fusion music of the Atlantic Arc and for those who know them could define them as a Kortatu / Negu Gorriak Asturias. A quarter-century career as having enough to keep them in mind, especially when preparing their first concert in the capital of the kingdom in his career.

The group began in Avilés in 1987 and during this time there have been changes in the training, inputs and outputs, but always the same fighting spirit and anti-establishment, claiming the officers of a vernacular that politicians are determined not to declare and putting official finger on the pulse to the rhythm of punk, rock, ska, folk (the bagpipe is not necessary), reggae and, in recent times, thanks to that section funk metal clothes so well many of his songs.

In Gijón Dixebra gave the starting signal for a tour of a CD, EP Baille the crisis that gave all those attending the concert in the Sala Albéniz. Write perspective of a band that I'm from the start, once labeled as crossover and now as a merger, passion is not easy, but live is to live, so that you can invite to go to his concert May 14 at the Sala Taboo Madrid.

I think Dixebra peaked with his ninth long-term N'Acción (L'Aguanaz, 2006), a live recording in his hometown that made it clear that this group was much more than a classic. After that nobody expected much more from them and marked the end of 2009 the superb Love incendiariu, which revealed that the group should have plenty more travel in time and a lot to say in this country of tambourine, bread and circuses.

The real commitment of the group that leads Xune Elipe the country in which he lives might say he is still alive, and radical rock Asturias chased with other styles and spiced with samples still has much future as we saw in Gijón, where four years had not been found. Dixebra, trained that night for septet, octet if we have the producer and sound engineer Sergio Rodriguez, expected to amaze me, that have been so many years, but I was surprised that they can continue to evolve that energy, that vitality, that good feeling without losing any credibility.

Premiered samples for this tour, in addition to Madrid will take on June 25 Spill Rock in its first edition in Ourense, and the intro of 'Bailla'l mileniu' kicked off with a concert by those who make a hobby. There reed in right doses 'Refugaya' (YouTube), 'Indian', 'Love incendiariu' or 'Cold Morning', with two guests: Miguel Fernandi (Skama Rede) and Lobo (non Expires Fala), who shared microphone, stage diving and jumping Xune Elipe, which happens to be the timeless hymn Dixebra.

There was also funk-folk 'Scream', ska 'De Prau', and in the encores, rural funk 'Asturalia', rock-rap-funk drinking from the same sources as Def Con Dos, indeed overwhelming, fusion the total rural ode is 'Asturalia', with the bagpipe midi Ullian pipe tone of this wonder that is Llorián Garcia, the youngest of the group.

In return rescued these wonders of ethno-techno that is 'The Dance', and that accurate X-ray Natural Paradise entitled 'This ye Asturies'. Although neither played 'Grieska''or' Aunt Nemesia ', or' Raptor nacionaliega 'if there was in the generous encores, vintage items such as folk tavern of' mundu Nesti traitor ', the wildly vindictive' Pallabres Vieyes 'or' piper, "a version of Os Montealto diplomats, EP Baille rescued the crisis.

With the revision noqueante 'God Save The Queen' which they titled 'Nun Puxa' dressing room again to return to 'The game' and 'Nun cry', a last effort to get the chest, which ended two hours in that Dixebra redone home. Puxa Dixebra Asturies. See them again in any procession or festival this summer meadow.
