Flamenco and Latin music, genres downloaded from the platform of the SGAE

Flamenco and Latin music genres are the most consumed of the catalog of La Central Digital (LCD), the distribution platform of the General Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE), which comprises some 100,000 songs, most of which come from artists who have produced their own records. Apart from flamenco and Latin rhythms also recorded a lot of movement genres as "world music" or the "nostalgia music, compositions of the 40, 50 and 60 which are well received among adults.

The big challenge is that the market in Latin American countries SGAE states that sales are very dispersed, but some songs stand out more than others. Among the most downloaded pieces of 2010's catalog are LCD Hopefully, Silvio Rodriguez, Quintetti per arch, in Quintetto Boccherini; Voar, Tim, I miss you, Xtreme, or wandering lights, Ismael Serrano.

Markets more conducive to the marketing of Latin music under the United States (thanks to increased access to broadband), Spain and Mexico, followed at a considerable distance by Britain, France and Canada. "The big challenge is that the market in Latin American countries develop much more in terms of broadband infrastructure so that our content can be consumed in its natural market," says the SGAE in a press release.
