Oscar D'Leon perform at the National Day of Salsa in Puerto Rico

San Juan, March 16 (EFE) .- The Venezuelan singer Oscar D'Leon and Puerto Rico All Star Orchestra will perform on Sunday in the twenty-eighth edition of "National Day of Salsa", Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan , Puerto Rico, today reported the event organizers. The show will be devoted to Puerto Rican Power groups and Orquesta Costa Brava, and Puerto Rican singer Tito Allen, Paquito Guzmán and Luigi Texidor, all present at the event, along with Edwin Clemente.

La Orquesta Aragon de Cuba is also invited to the event, but their participation has not yet been confirmed as federal authorities in Puerto Rico have approved the visas of 17 musicians, as stated by the director of programming at the station Z-93 Pedro Arroyo. Law 100 of June 17, 2000 established the Dia de la Salsa in Puerto Rico to pay homage to the genre with performances by the best singers of the genre. Since then, artists like Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, Celia Cruz, Ruben Blades, Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, among others, have been presented on the Caribbean island.
