Shakira returned to Brasilia on Thursday to cancel concert last week

Brasilia, March 21 (EFE) .- The Colombian singer Shakira will return to Brasilia next Thursday for the concert tour "The Pop Music Festival" which was canceled last week by heavy rain, organizers said Wednesday. The 18,000 people who had bought tickets to attend the presentation of Shakira were frustrated on Thursday by an intense storm that forced them to suspend their action.

Shakira was that day in Brasilia, met with the Head of State, Dilma Rousseff, to whom he presented the social projects of the ALAS Foundation, which sponsors it with other Latin American artists, and came to address the Mané Garrincha stadium parking lot, where would the concert. However, the heavy rain partially flooded the place and made it impossible presentation, announced today that Marcelo Piano, one of the organizers, will be held next Thursday in the same place.

Piano added that the thousands of people who bought tickets for last week may change for next Thursday or, failing that, request a refund of the money. The rescheduling of the concert Shakira require extra effort, since today is scheduled to perform in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra and be presented next Friday in Lima, 24 hours after doing so in the Brazilian capital.
