Mike Portnoy is working on a new project with Russell Allen, singer of Symphony X

Mike Portnoy continues to give us surprises after the end of its contractual relationship with Avenged Sevenfold. The former drummer of Dream Theater continues to point to other projects and has announced on her Twitter I work closely with Russell Allen, American vocalist of symphonic metal Symphony X.

Portnoy know that he was collaborating on a new group of stars with guitarist Steve Morse (Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs), multi-instrumentalist Neal Morse (Transatlantic, Spock's Beard), bassist Dave La Rue (Dixie Dregs) and singer Casey McPherson (Alpha Rev, Endochine), whose debut is expected out later this year.

And besides, is back together with his friends Yellow Matter Custard to continue playing versions of The Beatles. The text of the battery is conclusive: "I am very excited about a new project in which I work with one of my favorite singers in the world: my brother, Sir Russell Allen. Wait until you listen to this shit.

" They have to wait to hear it because, a priori, promises.
