Etienne Daho: a new album with Universal Music

After 30 years of loyalty to Virgin, the label that helped propel his career, Etienne Daho decided to turn a page in his career. The singer announced on his official website his decision to leave her record label Virgin, a subsidiary of EMI Music, where the singer had spent his entire career. In this new stage in his career, Etienne Daho now seeks the services of a major new music in France, Universal Music.

Etienne Daho joined Polydor label artists. At the release of his latest album on EMI, Etienne Daho had expressed his desire not to immediately re-sign with EMI in search of new opportunities on its termination. His first album, "pathological liar", was released by Virgin in 1981. The last, "Invitation", published in 2008, was certified platinum and awarded the "Victoire de la Musique" of pop-rock album of the year.

Between these two periods, Etienne Daho us filled with songs that are and will remain in the French musical heritage as "Saudade," "Weekend in Rome," "Paris Le Flore" and so many beautiful French songs spread over eleven albums Virgin and EMI Music. Following his album released in 2008, "The Invitation" Etienne Daho had launched a new art project with Naive and Patrick Zelnik.

In this regard, Etienne Daho had said at the launch of the label "Radical Pop", "Patrick Zelnik is the first president of a record company that has made me trust that has guided my footsteps from beginner, including my work and accompanied my journey through long and wonderful years with attention and respect for my artistic choices.

" And for the artist to conclude: "I am very happy and ultimately not very surprised that our paths recross today as evidence." The decision of Etienne Daho signed with the Polydor label, which deals with many French artists, gives hope to every admirer of the singer to discover, perhaps for this year, a new album creator of the hit " The Big Sleep.
