The Museum and Hall of Fame Rock and Roll and announced the first world exhibition dedicated to the most influential women in music history. The exhibition, which opens next May 13 at the museum in Cleveland, will range from Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin to Melissa Etheridge and Lady Gaga. "Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power" will highlight the career of more than 50 artists and will occupy two floors with objects and videos that show how they all contributed to the history of popular music.
Throughout the year, the museum will offer educational programs on the role of women in rock and roll. The exhibition will start on May 14 with a benefit concert which will include Cyndi Lauper and Wanda Jackson, among others.
