LCD Soundsystem - London Sessions: good version of their live singles

2010 was a good year for James Murphy. One more to add to his collection. Since 2005, with the release of its eponymous album, is reaping all deliveries as victories over critics and audiences, although not everything has been just as good, there are some moments of Sound Of Silver (2007, DFA / EMI ), but that does not mean you have to continue to use the pull.

LCD Soundsystem - Pow Pow (London Session) (YouTube) So far, the characteristic sound of LCD Soundsystem came from the electronics. The more the better synthesizers (what good is "Losing My Edge '!). Passing the live format, recorded in the studio last June 29, 2010 and published in November in digital and physical form on January 24, 2011, things change and leaves the base of the group.

Comes out the Funk. 'Get Innocuous! " is the one that best preserves its original style. Like any good set of electronics, Murphy managed to pass the essence of their sound to live with the same success as in past references, but without any need for having to replicate one by one the details of his records.

Here we are dealing with a different sound, more raw. It's the sound of a band that brings out his passion for thicker P-Funk, a powerful style led to his alibi rock to give more emphasis to the issues. In the opening 'Us V Them' get the monkey of long psychedelic Funkadelic developments and keep the original 8 minutes without fear.

LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk is Playing at my House (YouTube) In this jitazo they have under the title 'Drunk Girls', which does not dispense with the choruses, is preceded by 'All I Want', one of the most loose their last album, This Is Happening (2010, DFA / EMI). The same thing is happening with 'All My Friends', one of the singles that I have left out a substitute for other more motivated.

Instead, I love the addition of 'Pow Pow' because it is pure low. Thick lines that impact alone as the basis of 'Yr City Is A Sucker ", the only item recovered from the first album with the song" Daft Punk Is Playing At My House'. Usually, the songs have been accelerated pace to give them a greater hook riffs of the instruments.

A test with good results.
