Paul Alborán, the success of the song pop 2.0

Things have gone so fast that even he is incredulous. "I'm freaking out. I have to take a deep breath every five minutes," claimed between laughing and overwhelmed. It is not uncommon to feel dizzy. Even before seeing the light their first album, their figures were sobering: more than three million visitors to your YouTube videos, thousands of supporters on Facebook and Twitter, fans as illustrious as Kelly Rowland (who climbed one of the tracks the latter network comparing his voice with that of "an angel ")...

Almost assured success before driving off in a paradox only possible in these times. Yesterday was the key day: the debut of Paul Alborán reached the stores, both physical and virtual. A date had been waiting for years. Shortly before speaking to 20 minutes, his manager gave him the news: the album was already number one on iTunes.

What is the secret? "I have no idea," he admits without losing the smile. "I've always written songs by necessity, but at first it was for me, my friends and my family." The key is in the Net: Paul began to post their home videos and the snowball grew to be unstoppable. Now, as some call it "the new Alejandro Sanz", struggling to keep your feet on the ground.

"Only just started," he says. I could not have done better.
