Disc Toro y Moi is one of the first releases of 2011 that I really liked. Great job to Chazwick Bundick titled Underneath The Pine (2011, Carpark). After a good debut recido, causers of This (2010, Carpark), a sequel so quickly could lead to doubts but listen and be duped. Leave aside a little electronics as the main sound and gets more of a mix between black music and pop, where does one fit for a big hit, especially in production.
'Still Sound' is the black hit so many times we have heard from the discographies of artists in the Soul of the 70's or late 60's. Funk lines give it a motion to issue the steps that put the singer himself and others of his friends in a hilarious video where you see some young kids enjoying the moment.
An image with lower quality treated like a house or home video for decades. Snapshots with the band mixed with other unexplained. Young, laughter and good music. Toro y Moi enjoy.
