Bjork: "Biophilia" a global art project

The singer Bjork launches this week, "Biophilia," his ambitious interdisciplinary project with the release of official first single, "Crystalline". "Biophilia" Bjork is a multimedia project including an album, applications for each song on this album, a new site interning, musical instruments, tailor-made for a unique live experience, seminars and educational workshops with various stakeholders.


For this project amazing, Bjork has worked with application developers, scientists, authors, inventors, musicians and makers of musical instruments to create an overall media experience. "Biophilia" is intended to explore the universe and its physical strength. A surprising encounter between music, nature and technology.

This project, thought out, is inspired by the relationships between musical structures and natural phenomena. An exploration of their forms to their atomic cosmic aspects. The world premiere of the show "Biophilia" was held June 30, 2011 in the United Kingdom, Campfield Market Hall where the artist is in residence for three weeks and will give six performances of his exceptional show.

Applications for smart phones and tablets will be unveiled from the July 15, 2011 until the release of the album CD, September 26, 2011. Two versions of "Biophilia" will be available "after the app" in the form of interactive applications and traditional studio album, with a special mix.
