The Fugees: an April Fool's running short

Historically, the musical world heralds the return to the front of the stage of the legendary band, The Fugees. It seems that the re formation of the group is imminent in the words of Jerry Duplessis, the producer group. Indeed, last April 1, Jerry Duplessis seems to think back to a re formation of the group.

Last week, the producer of The Fugees, Jerry Duplessis, a mania of American music evoked the rebirth of The Fugees. The reconciliation of the group would be "imminent." Listed first as a joke, many people quickly spread information. Jerry Duplessis had announced that he was in studio with Pras, Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill.

Jerry Duplessis's joke does not seem to have had the desired effect, the former members of The Fugees did not appreciate the calls and emails that have arrived en masse at the announcement of this hypothetical reunion. All this is not even news. The time is not ripe for fans to relive the first time big time this group formed in 1993 in the United States.

Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel, reigned supreme on the hip-hop and '90s with the hits "Killing Me Softly" and "Fu-Gee-La" by cleverly mixing rap, soul and reggae. With only two albums, The Fugees had conquered the world. Their second album "The Score," published in 1997, remains today one of the most hip hop albums sold.
