Nearly a dozen new groups fight for the trophy contest Festimad

What sounds are the favorites of bands that start? Much opted for alternative rock pop distorted guitars. Or, rather, by a colorful rap that mixes sounds from here and across the Atlantic. Or reggae and metal. At least this is what they provide a large part of those who have participated in the contest this year's music festival Madt Festimad-Festi-, now in its second edition as a platform for new formations.

The below are the finalists in three categories that distinguished the organization, Pop rock, rap / soul and roots-and will fight next May for the trophy. How about your proposals? Name: Cohen. Biography: The band was born in 2005 in Urnieta (Gipuzkoa) and in 2007 self-release their first EP, which mixes hardcore, anternativo rock, emo, metal ...

Biography: Rock and pop independent-minded. This defines this band from Seville who has played with artists like Nick or Santi Campillo Lizard.

Biography: They started calling Zoot and the Princess. Now, with new name, this band is formed by a multi-Madrid, two Mexicans and an English-fuse flamenco, folk or rockabily and have recorded their first album with producers of prestige.

Biography: A pop rock band from Madrid, according to its own components, trying to "get away from the major musical trends" to play the rhythms that really like them. They believe in self-publishing as a tool that allows them more freedom when composing.

Biography: The fourth year of this band of Tenerife has coincided with the recording of their first album, The Assassination of Marvel Hill, inspired by modern rock, alternative and eclectic of the last three decades. Name: No Dogs. Biography: Its components are three young music lovers Madrid Radiohead, The Prodigy, Perry Blake or Massive Attack. Recnocibles tunes coming close and sometimes independent folk-pop. Listen here to one of their songs. Name: Roaddown. Biography: This musical project began to take shape in 2008, but it was not until 2010 that the group completed their training.

Biography: In the summer of 2006, Cassy and Anderson met at a music festival. They began their musical relationship, that led to early 2007 to publish his first demo of 4 songs.

Biography: Burbuselektah Fufuh and formed the group in 2001 to promote reggae culture in Spain that, in addition to distributing their music, sound systems and organizes advocacy of artists.
