Columbus Scott dies, former drummer of Manowar

Today we woke to the news of the death of Scott Columbus, former drummer of Manowar, who died at 54 last night as a brief note posted by Ross The Boss in Facebook. The burly drummer was part of the classic line of Manowar, which was from 1983 to 1991 and offered the best pieces of what they themselves called true metal.

Scott Columbus went back to Joey DeMaio, Karl Logan and Eric Adams in 1995 after her daughter overcome a serious illness, and with them he remained until 2008, but announced that he was definitely the loudest group in the world until the spring of 2010 Columbus had been playing this summer as a guest of the founder of Manowar, Ross the Boss, in Europe and the United States on a tour in which the former member of Dictators also introduced a party with classic themes of Battle Hymns, their debut album.

Scott Columbus was a solo project called Instrumetal and was giving shape to a disc written with guitarist Patrick Macdougall, which he termed as elevator music heavy metal, very heavy and very rhythmic. Rest in peace, steel drummer who was lucky enough to see him live twice.
