Wearing hats and sandals, Rap Farmers released their flow from Elorza (+ photos and audio)

In their clothes do not stick out big gold chains and bright. Nor have shirts or pants. In their heads pose big hats on their feet, sandals. Reinaldo Rivas and Pablo Cardosa, joined in 2009 to form the group Campesinos Rap. Natives of Elorza, apureña population who sang the Eneas Perdomo, have managed to seize and break the stereotype of Hip Hop, a musical genre born in the late 60 in New York City neighborhoods.

The lyrics of their songs are different from the traditional lyrical content of Hip Hop, as these two twentysomething sing to their reality: customs and landscapes, as well as the nostalgia felt by the rangers to leave their land. "If you let yourself come to my country, I invite pa 'to eat tortoise, coporo cachapa and fried.

As Elorza never there, or their women as beautiful, poets or say, all marked tracks. Elorzano pure plain map as Creole, jálenme the Camoruco, arpa, cuatro and maracas, with my letter peasant guasacaca hum them, do not compare with the plain Maracay and Caracas .... " So reads one verse of the song Do not compare, theme used for the first video that recorded in 2010, with the help of his producer Roberto Díaz, member of "Hip Hop Revolution.

In the video you can see the two young men in plain own tasks: riding, and with machete in hand, weeding lush thickets of their land. "In that video almost everything is improvised, or gestures have rappers," says Rivas, laughing. In the demo they recorded in 2010, the base was the traditional items used for Hip Hop, while the new production expected out later this year, the bases are made from arpa, cuatro and maracas.

"We are working with the same lyrics, but with a Creole beat, "said its producer Roberto Díaz. For Hip Hop is not a fad, a genre that can reach the masses to raise awareness. "If you put him to a teenager a joropo sends him away, so we chose the Hip Hop, because through we express the language of rap ranger and folklore, and so conquered the younger audience, "Cardosa said.

Rivas and Cardosa are friends since childhood. Their friendship was born after a fight they had in the wake of a baseball game. From that day they shared many hobbies, such as break dancing, an activity practiced before becoming a duo that is breaking. "Eight years ago I saw on television a young man who was spinning on the floor with his head and called me attention.

I started looking on the internet and found lots of videos and showed them to Paul. So he learned. To stay in first place in a national competition that took place in Barinas, "said Rivas. In 2010 the group came to Caracas and was presented at the V International Hip Hop Summit. "While other rappers were surprised with our letters because it was something they were accustomed to hearing, offered us their support," says Cardoso, who this year will begin studying business administration in Barinas.

Currently the duo is working on his first production which will be entitled and its repertoire will consist of 13 tracks, including Homesickness, recorded with Jorge Guerrero, a native of Elorza, who has been listed as one of the greatest exponents of traditional music in Apure state. Rap farmers will Caracas on 30 April.

That day will be presented at 4:00 pm, in the Sabana Grande Boulevard as part Joropo Festival 2011. The songs, pictures and videos of their presentations can be viewed via the website www. myspace. com / campesinosrap.
