George Michael announces new tour with Symphony Orchestra from August (+ photos)

Almost three years after saying he would never live act, British singer George Michael said Wednesday in London a new tour accompanied by a symphony orchestra. The first leg of the tour, which will be "Symphonica - The Orchestral Tour" will begin Aug. 22 at the Prague State Opera and will include 47 concerts in European cities, including Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao in the second half of September .

'The second stage is not finalized but will be very extensive and cover other areas of the world, "said the artist in a press conference organized at the Royal Opera House. George Michael will be accompanied by a symphony orchestra in all its presentations, which include "a careful selection of songs" in his nearly three-decade career, as well as some of "their favorite artists," according to a statement.

"I feel very invigorated after my recent problems, I felt this is what I do as an artist, "he said. George Michael spent four weeks in prison and another four under strict probation after being convicted by a judge for driving under the influence of cannabis when he suffered an accident in July.
