Reik seeks to break schemes with "Danger", his new album (+ video)

The Mexican trio Reik members say their new album, "Danger", left their "comfort zone" to reveal their talent as musicians experimenting with different genres. "I do not know what had happened, but experience different sounds with influences that we had not tried before," said lead singer Jesús Alberto Navarro told Efe in a telephone interview from Mexico.

"Danger," his fourth studio album and will go on sale in July, promising a strong presence of electronic music that brings new textures hearing, not only the rhythm tracks, but also ballads. According to his label, Sony Music, the trio "is reinvented to shake the world with his avant-garde electronic pop." Members of the group consisting of Navarro, Julio Ramirez and Gilberto "Bibi" Marin, are beyond excited to work and hope to have a stronger international presence than their previous albums.


Although this new album contains 14 tracks on, danceable rhythms and electronic sounds that convey energy and fun, "does not betray the foundations of the great ballads." The album was recorded for almost two months between the U.S. and Argentina.
